Tidenham Chase, The Park Nature Reserve

Take the B4228 from Coleford towards Chepstow. Just after Hewelsfield you will see a brown tourist sign on the left and the FC car park on your right

Hadnock. near the Biblins Bridge

Enter the woods at the Marians Wood (SO570125). Follow the MAIN forest ride down to the river (over a mile). On the OS map you pass through Ellis Redding Wood and Coalpit Hill. When you get to the River Wye, turn left and follow this forest road for another mile or so, going past the Biblins footbridge. Go as far as you can go and park at the end. You are at the work site in Wales then.

May Hill - National Trust

May Hill, National Trust site near Clifford's Mesne,Newent.

Directions: Head towards the Yew Tree Inn (Clifford's Mesne, Newent, GL18 1JS). When you reach the Inn it should be on your right, continue to follow the lane up towards the hill. Pass over a cattle grid and continue to follow the lane until you reach a gravelled car park on the right. There should be a metal gate opposite.

Christmas workday and celebration

From A40 dual carriageway take Symonds Yat West exit, follow narrow lanes to Doward, picking up signs to Biblins youth campsite. After 1.5 miles, Lane bends sharp left at SO548157 by Doward Campsite. Take the forest road to the right here (white arrow) and go through the King Arthurs Cave car park and through the metal barrier. Take next left along forest road and park at SO552151

Clearwell Meend

From Coleford take B4228, turn right by the Lambsquay Hotel down Lambsquay Road towards Clearwell. Turn left at SO578083 into the Clearwell Caves car park. Park in the top car park,ie the one furthest away at SO578082.

Woorgreens Lake Nature Reserve

From Speech House Hotel, continue towards Cinderford (uphill) past Speech House Woodlands car park and take next left down forest track.

Meet: at 10am next to GWT white pickup truck at Forest gate (do not drive in yet).

Mugglewort Wood,Flaxley Woods

Take lane from Littledean to Flaxley and opposite Gunns Mill take forest ride (SO675159), go through metal barrier and follow forest ride to the right to parking at SO687157

From Parkend take B4431 towards Blakeney, park by barrier opposite entrance to Mallards Pike car park.

Lancaut Lane informal car park, off B4228 between Tidenham and Woodcroft.

Edgehills heathland

Plump hill, 1 mile south of Mitcheldean on the A4136 by GWT truck. (long trousers and sturdy footwear/wellies recommended).

Linear Park

Take the B4226 from Coleford to Cinderford go past the Dilke Hospital and turn left at the bottom of hill into Linear Park car park at Cinderford Bridge.

Plump Hill Autumn Gentian site

Take the A4136 from Cinderford towards Mitcheldean. Just after the turning for the Wilderness is a layby on the right. Turn right here and take the track to the parking area.

May Hill - National Trust

May Hill, National Trust site near Clifford's Mesne,Newent.

Marians Pond Toad crossing

From Coleford take the B4228 to Berry Hill. Approx 300metres before the Christchurch/Bracelands campsite crossroads, go left along a track, bear left and enter the wood through a metal barrier at SO570125. Follow the forest road, take the first left and follow the forest road to the parking area at SO566119

Mallards Pike/Moseley Green

From Parkend take B4431 towards Blakeney, park by barrier opposite entrance to Mallards Pike car park

Staunton Meend

Take the A4136 towards Monmouth and after the White Horse pub turn left up the no-through road and follow the signs to the Buckstone Adventure Centre.
