Summer get together! Mallards Pike at 12.30 Due to the change in Forestry England policy around the use of BBQs on our sites we are unable to use the BBQ and, due to Covid, we thought it best that the less handling of others food the better. Therefore, please bring your own savoury lunch and drinks and we will provide the puddings! Please can we ask you bring something to sit on and your own plate/bowl/cutlery. We know it is not as fancy as usual, BUT, the key thing here is that we are all getting together and celebrating everything we have done over the last 2 years! - |
Please let Kate or Leoni know that you are coming |

Ellen Winter is the Citizen Science and Evidence Officer for the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust - Contact Ellen Winter ellen.winter@gloucestershirewildlifetrust.co.uk
She has invited us to join her on a group of dates for Grid Mapping and Ecological Integrity Assessment in the Forest of Dean.
All days approx 9.30 - 4.30. Whole or half days preferred due to training in the methodology.
Sites may get swapped around occasionally depending on weather, grazing and other factors, but you'll be informed at the start of each survey week.
You'll be looking for a short list of heathland indicator plants in each 10m sq quadrat plus ecological characteristics of each 50m survey square such as bare ground, heather growth stages, and squelch factor!
