Arboretum day is on the first Thursday of the month

NOTE SURVEYS FROM mid May ON START AT 11am and finish around lunchtime in summer

The county moth recorder will also be with us on most days

Tuesday 23 May 17	Linear Park Take the B4226 from Coleford to Cinderford go past the Dilke Hospital and turn left at the bottom of hill into Linear Park car park at Cinderford Bridge. Tuesday 27 Jun 17	SUMMER BARBEQUE and Foxes Bridge Colliery Tip and old Trax Site survey Enter the forest at the wooden five barred gate by Kensley Lodge at SO625128. Immediately follow the forest road to the right and continue along until the left turn onto the old tarmac road.Go along the tarmac road to the parking area at SO634135 at the top of Crabtree Hill and walk down to Foxes Bridge Colliery Tip where we will have the BBQ Gazebo if wet	Wildlife survey Survey of plants and any animals of the area. Please remember that you must wear steel toe-capped boots and gloves.
Please bring wellington boots if you have them, as many of the sites are rather wet.
Some of the sites are difficult to find and therefore an ordnance survey map will be useful
As a general rule, we will try to do at least some work on wet days so please bring wet weather gear
