21 Apr 15	Speculation Speculation Car Park on the B4234 between Cannop crossroads and Mirey Stock crossroads.	Removal and stacking of old tree guards Bring a knife to cut the tree guards off the trees!	SO613135
28 Apr 15	Welshbury Woods, Flaxley From Littledean turn in by the Belfry Pub towards Gunns Mill and Mitcheldean. Go for around 1 mile When you reach fork/junction at grass triangle take right hand fork towards Flaxley. Go half a mile and green barrier can be seen on the righthand side. 26 May 15	Moth and Butterfly Surveying - Plump Hill Take the A 4136 from Cinderford towards Mitcheldean. Just after the turning for the Wilderness is a layby on the right. Turn right here and take the track for about 50 metres to the parking area - Meet at 11am	Led by Mike Bradley, The West Glos County Moth recorder Mike will bring nets and pots to catch moths to look closely at them before releasing them. 2 Jun 15	Moth and Butterfly Surveying - Linear Park Take the B4226 from Coleford to Cinderford go past the Dilke Hospital and turn left at the bottom of hill into Linear Park car park at Cinderford Bridge. 16 Jun 15	Moth and Butterfly Surveying - Serridge Green/Great God Meadow Take A 4136 from Cinderford towards Coleford/Monmouth and at Brierley turn left immediately opposite the petrol station. 23 Jun 15	Summer Barbeque! Awres Glow/Mallards Pike area From Parkend take B4431 towards Blakeney, after the Barracks, turn left into Mallards Pike car park. Go through the wooden forest barrier, past Go Ape, follow the forest road and turn first right between the 2 lakes and follow the powerline ride to Awres Glow. We have a gazebo if wet! All tasks are led by FC Ranger or GWT Ranger staff, start at 9.45 am and finish around 3pm

Please remember that you must wear steel toe-capped boots and gloves.
Please bring wellington boots if you have them, as many of the sites are rather wet.
Some of the sites are difficult to find and therefore an ordnance survey map will be useful
As a general rule, we will try to do at least some work on wet days so please bring wet weather gear
