Edgehills GWT Nature Reserve

From Mitcheldean continue up Plump Hill towards Cinderford and turn left on to unnamed road just before sign on right for Wilderness centre. Continue on pot holed road for 3/4 mile to Forest Gate. (Do not drive in and certainly don't park near radio masts!)

Birch Wood

From Cinderford take A4136 towards Coleford.Just after Nailbridge/Hawkwell traffic Lights go left down non council road towards Northern United. Follow track and take the second forest track on the right with the metal barrier. Follow the tarmac road, approx 500m, through the forest, up a hill to a wooden barrier on your left to park.

Staple-edge

From Cinderford take the Speech House road and almost opposite the Linear Park car park (Cinderford Bridge) turn left into a small parking area. Go through the metal five barred gate and follow the main forest track (do not turn off it). Continue on the forest road for nearly one mile,Go past the Staple- edge bungalows to the next junction just before the pond and park.

Marians Inclosure

From Coleford take the B4228 to Berry Hill. Approx 300metres before the Christchurch/Bracelands campsite crossroads, go left along a track, bear left and enter the wood through a metal barrier at SO570125. Follow the forest road, take the first left and follow the forest road to the parking area at SO566120

Take the A4136 towards Monmouth and after the White Horse pub turn left up the no-through road and follow the signs to the Buckstone Adventure Centre.

Follow the forest road, take the first left and follow the forest road to the parking area at SO566120

Mallards Pike/Moseley Green

From Parkend take B4431 towards Blakeney, park by barrier opposite entrance to Mallards Pike car park.

Serridge Green/Great God Meadow

Take A 4136 from Cinderford towards Coleford/Monmouth and at Brierley turn left immediately opposite the petrol station. Park by the first metal barrier on the right.

Linear Park

Awres Glow/Mallards Pike area

From Parkend take B4431 towards Blakeney, after the Barracks, turn left into Mallards Pike car park. Go through the wooden forest barrier, past Go Ape, follow the forest road and turn first right between the 2 lakes and follow the powerline ride to Awres Glow. We have a gazebo if wet!
