For our first day back after the Christmas and New Year break we were at Gorsty Knoll working on improving the habitat for butterflies and reptiles. It was a lovely sunny day but very cold. We were cutting down small birch as well as bracken and bramble bashing as the butterflies like low vegetation.

	Clearing the bracken and brambles. There is an awful lot of bracken!
	We slashed and raked the bracken away from the ground.
