This day was worked during the heatwave that has hit the country and was very humid. Luckily, the laurel shielded us from the sun and although the men were 'sweating buckets', the women were 'only perspiring'! We carried on along the old gully and the felling of the laurel made a significant difference to the light shining into the area. This should encourage the flora to re-emerge along the stream.
