Grid Ref SO 6289 0818
It is the time of year for us to collect data in our Wildlife Surveys.
A beautiful afternoon and, once again, we saw a sounder of feral boar quietly foraging in the woods so we turned back and did not disturb them.
This old tree trunk shows many holes in it made by Woodpeckers and is probably being used for nesting.
This is a Sweet Chestnut tree which had looked dead over the winter but it has now revived with many leaves growing.
The open area which had been cleared of trees due to Ash Die Back is now a haven for many wild plants and species.
