Lea Bailey Pond
Grid Ref SO642195
Another visit to Lea Bailey pond on a beautiful day! Our forest ranger could not join us today as the windscreen on her truck had been smashed by a low branch in the aftermath of the big storm, St Jude.We were to enjoy the lovely weather the day after the storm had blown over. The only hiccup was that we were going to use the winch on the ranger's truck to pull out the timber which still remains in the pond and could not do that on this day. No worries...we continued to remove the birch to increase the size of the glades surrounding the pond. Small foxglove plants can already be seen growing in the exposed ground.
