The dam building across two streams was in the woods above the wildflower area at Linear Park. It is a long hill up to Crabtree plantation and water gushes down when the floods come which has a detrimental effect lower down on the wildflower area. Our plan was to put in leaky dams to slow the water flow down.

We used previously cut logs and brush which were filled in with mud. Quite a few of these dams were dotted about on the streams. |

This was at the start of the day and, although the stream looks quite tranquil, the force of water can be dramatic in heavy rain. |
