Linear Park Wildflower Area
Grid Ref SO638136
Another day of wild flower planting for the team. We think we planted up to 1000 little plugs. This time, we were planting them in little groups. The area had a lot of bracken and bramble growing all over it so some of the team used scythe hooks to bash that down. The Herdwick sheep are due to come back on the site in a month or two.
We also spread a large bag of Yellow Rattle seeds to compete with the grassland

Many of the seed plugs are ready to be planted

We were spread out over the area and the small Birch trees were removed. |

The weather was fine in the morning but torrential rain came over after lunch. |
