Dark Hill Iron Works

It was our annual BBQ today courtesy of our regular forestry rangers. First of all, we spent a couple of hours bracken bashing in the woods. This weakens the bracken and allows natural wild flowers to poke through. We had been invited by Dave Dewsbury to have our BBQ in his garden which backs onto the forest. Dave Dewsbury is the Gloucestershire Naturalist' county recorder for reptiles and amphibians.

	Our ranger did a superb job with the cooking. We liked his pinny with the words 'Licence to Grill'!
	All of us relaxing after loads of food!
