We were lucky in the morning as the weather was reasonable and the rain did not start until the barbeque was finishing!
The forest is alive with flowering wildlife plants so the survey took us a long time. There were many dog rose bushes in flower growing up high through the trees.

It was also our day for our summer barbeque so many members of the team turned up as did representatives from the Forestry Commission. Our rangers provided and cooked the barbeque and had the foresight to bring the gazebo for the rain showers! Many thanks to them. It is a good chance to catch up with everyone and reminisce on our past year's work.
