Greathough Brook Beaver Enclosure (Piano Corner)

The Dean Green Team were clearing both sides of the fencing around the beaver enclosre from bramble and intrusive foliage.

	A briefing before starting. Those of us with dogs keep them outside the fencing.
	We cleared the lower foliage but we were asked to leave the small Alder trees as they are a refuge for the larvae of the White-barred Clearwing Moth to feed on as they bore into the stem of the host plant.
	We also left a few of the wild raspberry plants which grow quite profusely along the track.
