Woorgreen Lake GWT Nature Reserve

Grid Ref SO625128

Today, we were working on the track to the far side of Woorgreen Lake. This track does not have a hard surface and a lot of people use it so, after all the heavy rain we've had lately, it is a quagmire! We were removing small bushes in order to widen the track and allow walkers alternative routes round the mud. We also cut the trees which were over shadowing the stream to open up the area for ecological re-growth.

This shows the muddy track and the small brush around it was removed.

Break time was taken on a small knoll without the mud!.

We could hear the geese on the lake making a lot of noise!

Further soggy areas were worked on.
