Mallards Pike - Wildlife Survey and Annual Barbecue
Grid Ref SO63590918
We had the most gorgeous sunny day for our annual barbecue out in the woods near to Mallards Pike lake. The temperature reached 28 degrees and the sun shone all day!
Before the bbq, the team went off to do a butterfly and moth survey in the area.
The full report of species recorded can be seen here

We are out on the edge of the woods in an area of heathland looking around for the butterflies. |

Our ranger is starting to prepare the barbecue. Our rangers sweltered in the heat, not only of the sun but of the bbq tub whilst doing the cooking! |

The team all sheltered in the shade and appreciated the good food on offer! |
