The area we cleared last winter now has a new fence round it but further trees have been cut and were smothering the ground. This area is particularly good for wild flowers such as wood anemone and bluebells so we were piling the mass of brush to clear the ground.

There was a partial eclipse of the sun by the moon today. We all sat at about 11 am and we were lucky to have a wisp of cloud going over so that we could see the full eclipse through it. Spectacular! |

The brush was very thick and it was quite treacherous for us to make our way through it. |

This area was cleared by the end of the day and we will be checking the wild flowers in the Spring. |
