Lightmoor open area
Grid Ref SO642118
We last went to this important reptile area on the 14th January 2020. (See Here). Since then, there has been some growth of Birch which we now wanted to remove.
Lightmoor open area has proved to be a very good site for adders who are probably hibernating under the rotting wood piles we built 2 years ago.
Our Ranger is explaining the task for us. This time, we were to clear areas of copse size. |
|
In the forefront is a pile of brush which will be left to rot. It is clear to see the extensive new growth there.

|
There was a large team with us so we were all spread out over the area. |
