Wigpool GWT Reserve

This was our 3rd and last visit to Wigpool GWT Reserve this spring and, at last, we had some sunshine! We worked up the hill continuing to remove leggy gorse and small birch.

Starting out and the density of the foliage was very thick which made working around it quite tricky! |

Even though the ground was so soggy after the non-stop winter rains, we were able to light the fire easily. |
|
Towards the end of the day the fire is nearly out and our ranger is spraying the stumps to prevent re-growth. |
