Foxes Bridge Wildlife Survey

Grid Ref SO 644 138

It is the time of year for us to collect data in our Wildlife Surveys.

We saw a sounder of baby boar which we call humbugs scuttling across the track in front of us. We also saw quite a few deer in the forest.

The team are getting ready to start the survey

This is the settling pond which was man made and the hill to the right was a massive slag heap.

Thousands of toad tadpoles. The fish in the settling pond do not find them palatable!
