Awres Glow and Moseley Green

Grid Ref SO 6362 0926

The team met at Mallards Pike lake. We divided into two teams as there was wild flower planting to be done at Moseley Green and there was coppicing at Awres Glow.

We were lucky to have brilliant sunshine whilst we were out as the previous day had been a deluge of rain!

The view across the bracken towards Mallards Pike was beautiful.

Stretches of bracken had been cleared for us and we got down on our knees to plant wild strawberry and violets.

Awres Glow

The density of the small trees are demonstrated here. They were removed to allow the larger trees room to grow.

Cutting and loading onto large piles of branches.
