At the bottom of the track we laid a fire and piles of logs.

The hillside area behind the old quarry wall is getting much more open now.

The continuing of the removal of thorny shrub to open up the quarry and, hopefully, allow wildflowers to flourish. We saw some tiny violets growing which will encourage the butterflies and we saw foxgloves. The stumps of the shrubs were doused in herbicide to prevent re-growth.
