Plump Hill and Oakraven Field Centre
Grid Ref SO 6598 1686
We met at the top of Plump Hill to rake the dead grass from the Autumn Gentian flower site in the pouring rain. However, after a few hours work we all went down the hill to the Oakraven Field Centr which is in the old Abenhall village school for our Christmas lunch. A few of the team also did some clearing in the field centre nature reserve.
The Rangers prepared and cooked us a really good meal with mince pies and custard to follow. They worked hard! We are very grateful for all their help organising us during the year and contributing to our social fun!

As you can see, we were soaked to the skin and apologies for the spots of rain in the photo! |
