We were having a planting day on the Riparian Corridor here in an area we had cleared of production conifier to buffer the watercourse and encourage water related species such as Alder,Aspen and Willow.
We had previously planted this site however we had lost several trees due to the drought we had last year and from Deer Foraging and the Wild Boar pushing over the tubes. Likely using as scratching poles or just rooting underneath and not realising they are planted trees!

We also saw Brimstone and Peacock butterflies, several ladybirds and some deer. |

It was a lovely sunny day, we managed to replace all the trees that had failed. |
