Edgehills GWT Reserve

A bright, sunny day to meet up at Edgehills GWT Reserve. We were last there 2 years ago so it was refreshing to see our previous impact.
Health and safety check at the start of the day as our ranger explains our task which was to remove the smaller birch. |
We found this Yellow Staghorn Fungus, scientifically known as Calocera viscosa, and it is a bright orange, gelatinous fungus commonly found on decaying conifer wood. |
The team enjoyed the sunshine whilst loading up the fire! |

This is an extremely good noticeboard on this site. The cattle and the ponies were not here though. They do get moved around to other reserves. |
