It was another good day out at Tidenham Chase with a large team of over 20 volunteers. Gloucester Wildlife Trust trainees were with us as well which created a lot of chain saw work. Our team did a sterling job keeping up with the clearing and burning of the birch trees which the trainees cut down to allow other heathland flora to flourish.

We have now cleared as far as the conifer trees in the

distance.

Many fires were lit to burn off the brush. It was nothing we couldn't keep up with however as there were 5/6 fires in total...We wanted a picture with them all in, but would have needed a helicopter!

All fires are extinguished at the end of the day.
