Summer work!
Continuing from the work carried out two weeks previously, we were cutting back laurel trees that were totally obscuring the pathways. The weather was typical of this summer in that there were torrential thunderstorms interspersed with sunnier periods. Clanna Country Park is part of a large estate with a good man made trout fishing lake and an old canal which used to feed the water into the lake but is now overgrown and dry (even in this weather!) There were three coots and a grebe on the lake which we sat by for our lunch.
