Our team were doing volunteer cutting of Elder trees for further clearance in the heathland restoration project. We were dragging cut material to quite a few bonfires.

The team are walking down the muddy and squiggy track where we, eventually, cleared the Alder trees which can be seen on the left and right of the track. |

We had quite a few fires and we left the log piles as shelter for the bugs and reptiles. |

As you can see, the track through the gate towards Woorgreen Lake has turned into a bit of a quagmire! So... we used some of the cut logs to provide a better access through the gate. |
