Woorgreen Lake GWT Nature Reserve to Kensley Pond
Grid Ref SO625128
On a crisp, frosty morning we gathered at the stream which runs down from Woorgreen Lake to Kensley Pond.
Trees had been removed by the sides of the stream and our task was to fill above the stream with all the cut offs in order to slow the flow. |
The length of the stream must be about 1/4 mile but there were plenty of the team doing the work. The foliage will soon rot down inhibiting any flooding. |
Finally, we completed the task down to Kensley Pond. The area surrounding the pond is frequently used by the feral boar where they rub themselves on the trees. |
