Symonds Yat

 

Today we were working about a mile from Yat Rock on the Mailscot Trail. There is a ditch by the side of the trail which we cleared last year and we were pleased to know that there are newts in it. We also saw dragonflies. Our task was to build a series on small dams to create deeper pools for the newts.

	We used wood, brush and mud to build small but leaky dams.
	The mud was smeared over and around the dams.
	Lunch break for the team!
