Finally, the very unusual heatwave for September finished and we got soaked in rain!
The team went to a very steep sided valley stream. Contractors had been there to cut down some emormous trees which cleared the stream for us to build leaky dams.

There was an abundance of Birch and we also cleared regen fir but we did not use the fir on the dams as it seeps bad toxins. |

We found this very large Common Toad. The Common Toad can vary in colour from olive brown to green, dark brown or grey, sometimes with dark markings. Its skin is characteristically dry and warty. |

We built quite a few dams which will rot down during the winter and hold back flooding creating small pools. |
