The team are starting to build an otter holt using the larger timbers as the base

The team are now using smaller branches to cover the base and will then cover the whole holt with brushwood making it blend into the environment and be unobtrusive in the area.

Cannop Ponds

The Dean Green Team were out clearing a particularly boggy area beside the stream which feeds Cannop Ponds on a very muggy and close day. The area had been looked after by the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust many years ago but had since become swallowed up by willow and alder and few natural wild flowers now existed. We also built 2 otter holts with the felled timber and brush
