Moseley Green - Wildlife Survey

We are doing wildlife surveys through the summer.We are collecting data regarding the wild plants, butterflies and moths, birds and any other species we spot! It was an overcast day at about 18 degrees so butterflies and moths were not abundant.

Our butterfly and moth expert brought this Eyed Hawk-moth to show us which he had caught the previous night. Eyed Hawk-moth (Smerinthus ocellata) The pink hindwings are decorated with black and blue “eyes”, used to flash at predators. They are well distributed throughout England and Wales
