Bracken bashing today at Gorsty Knoll and a wildlife survey of Darkhill Ironworks.

	We did lift up one of the corrugated sheets and found two slow worms in there but they soon slid away!
	Bracken bashing using sickles.
	We sat by this magnificent Oak tree for our break. There are over 20 million trees in the Forest of Dean alone with a wide range of both deciduous and evergreen trees. Predominant is oak, both pedunculate and sessile.
	Wildlife Survey
