DEAN GREEN TEAM Wildlife Conservation Group in the Forest of Dean Gloucestershire |
11 April 2017
Hadnock. near the Biblins Bridge
Grid Ref SO537154
Contractors from the FC had been in to coppice another area in Hadnock woods over the winter. We were building deer fences from the cut offs and burning further branches to clear the forest floor with the hope that wild flowers would now thrive in there. We did this last year in an adjacent are and the results were very good. See here
It was also a day to say goodbye to one of our member who had been with us for 15 years but is moving out of the forest. We presented him with a photo album which covered many of his years with us and he will be sorely missed.
