At the end of the day, it is good to just sit and contemplate the fire!
The Doward

The Doward on a beautiful day. Our task was to coppice down a glade which was exposed to the sunlight to provide a good environment for the Wood White butterfly. The Wood White is in decline in most of the UK but the Forest of Dean is one of the few places where they are still relatively abundant. By removing the shrub it will help the plants which the Wood White needs such as wild strawberries and bird's foot trefoil.
