Clearwell Meend

It was a very wet day! The wildflowers at Clearwell Meend are fantastic this summer. Our task was to bracken bash around the flowers (leaving them all up!) so that the flowers have room to spread.

This shows the clumps of wild flowers being swamped by the bracken.

We used scythes to bash the bracken and, hopefully, this will weaken it's growth.

The most predominate flowers are Hemp Agrimony and Ragwort but there are many more species growing.
