Viney Hill
Grid Ref SO651064
There are a lot of fairly newly planted trees on Viney Hill which had been swamped by invasive scrub and gorse! This had encouraged the feral boar into the area and was causing problems for the locals so the scrub had been cleared by machinery and mulched down. Our task was to remove the tree guards and stakes and to tidy up.

Hundreds of tree guards! We also totally litter picked through the area.

Campsite established and the start of the tree guard removal. It was a lovely spring day and a pleasant job for us! |

Tree guards and stakes were taken away on the trailer. A kindly local resident had baked us delicious lemon drizzle cake - thank you!
