We were continuing to clear away the brush left by the contractor who had, previously, cut back a wide swathe of trees. The area is to have a deer fence around it so that the Dormice can live in peace.

Storm Barra came today with strong winds and torrential rain so the intrepid team were not as many as usual!

This is the swathe where we stacked up the cut trees on the edges. The fence will be put in to protect future coppice stools from browsing deer.

There was also a snow shower and a timber lorry was stuck and needed to come up the track where our cars were. Another route was blocked by trees!
