Edgehills Bog GWT Nature Reserve

The start of the new year and 2015. Early rain and cold were soon shuffled away to produce some good sunshine. We had not been to Edgehills since last April and it is a massive area to work in and maintain as heathland but we cleared one more quarter hectare.

We are tantalisingly close to linking the north and south compartments of this beautiful habitat.

 

	A perfect day for this time of year. The expanse of the heathland is evident in this photo.
	Two large fires were used to burn off the birch.
	Hidden in the gorse, are the team! The ground at Edgehills can be quite treacherous as there are many small ponds and bogs.
