The team are being treated to pancakes by Sue and David who live near the site - they were much appreciated!

Once again, we visited the site here to clear further patches to allow movement of the butterflies. This is a large area and was totally devolved of trees in the 1960s as it was all heathland then. We are trying to restore as much of that heathland as we can. We also had some of the team raking up the decaying bracken to clear the ground for wild flowers to grow.

Oops! Not all trees come down as expected! This tree was hand sawed - but, at least it landed on the fire!
