Another visit to Edgehills Bog and, although it was not as foggy as a couple of weeks ago, it was still a cloudy day but the temperature has risen a bit so we were spared frozen toes!
We cleared another area of birch but left some small oak trees standing. The Exmoor ponies will soon be back in the large enclosure for the summer.
The team are stood in front of one of the largest fires we have ever had burning. |
|
Our, extremely energetic, ranger cut loads of trees down with his chain saw which made it busy for the team to clear up. Having said that, smaller trees were also cut by hand by the team.

Is this fire getting too big? |
