Tidenham Chase GWT Nature Reserve

Grid Ref ST558992

Tidenham Chase Park and Poors Allotment which are each over 30 hectares in size are now being run as a Gloucester Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve.

Today, we continued clearing around an area which exposed another pond. The weather was magnificent again so we are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather during our further visits here this autumn!

The team take it in turns to cut, load the fire or take round the blue bucket to paint herbicide on the stumps.

The next pond is now exposed and we saw quite a few dragonflies flying around.

Fly Agaric Fungus (Amanita muscaria) .

It is interesting to note that these mushrooms are so prolific where the ponies have deposited their dung!
