This is one of the perches for the nightjars.

The team having a break with smoke from the gorse fire blowing over them!

The autumn visit to Oakenhill was another chance to clear the gorse and birch. The previous clearings have been very successful as the gorse has not re-grown and the area is now much more like heathland with plenty of part felled trees to provide perches for the nightjars. A good team turned up and the weather stayed dry so a good day was had by all!
