Lea Bailey Pond

Grid Ref SO642195

Last year, the area around the pond had been cleared but there were still a lot of logs lying in the pond. Our contractor had been there to fell some more trees at the far end of the pond so we spent the day clearing and burning them. As you can see from the photos, the weather was nice and sunny!

Looking across the pond to the felled trees in the distance. There had been a lot of rain during the night which had filled the pond with murky water.

Two of the team had winched this large log out of the pond and were pulling it up to saw into smaller logs.

The end of the pond is now clear and, during the day, we saw a lot of dragonflies appearing above the water.
